My boyfriend and I bought our first house together and wanted to get the carpets cleaned in our new house. I took to Yelp to find a carpet cleaner with the best reviews and found Spiker. I called the phone number and Brian Spiker, the owner, answered and went through all the options and how each would benefit us. I decided to go with the Platinum Package and Brian quoted me over the phone and guaranteed a price (as we have stairs, although I couldn’t remember how many).
Our technician, Gary, arrived early and got started on the work right away. He was polite and friendly. Once he was done with the carpet, he evaluated a couple of microfiber chairs and ottomans that I wanted to have cleaned. He cleaned the chairs, ottomans, and carpets with quality and care.
The next day I went in to check our the carpets (after they had dried) and noticed that there was significant damage to the corners of our walls and stair railing. Having not yet moved into the home, and having done a walk-through with the realtor the day prior, I thought that Gary must have not taken the proper precautions against damaging our home. I called Brian and explained what I thought happened and sent him pictures of the damage. Brian listened to my concerns and expressed that, based on the photos, he did not think it was possible for his equipment to cause the damage. He agreed to come out the next day, with Gary, to look at the damage to try to find a solution for us.
Brian and Gary came out the next morning (early again!) to our home. They took the equipment out of the van and showed us step-by-step that it was literally impossible for their equipment to cause the damage (Brian purchases top-of-the-line equipment to ensure that it does not damage homes). After the demonstration, we realized that in our haste and stress during the home buying process, that we did not see the damage when we did the final walk through on our home (it was dark). Even though they did not cause the damage, Brian, bothered by the state of our once-immaculate home, offered repeatedly to pay to have someone come out to fix our walls and stair railing.
I have to say I had one of the best service-experience I have ever had with Brian Spiker’s Carpet (and Upholstery) cleaning and highly recommend them to anyone.
